not to be rude, by i grow weary of your condescending attitude which does nothing but make you look foolish.
time and time again one time gains have been used for EPS. look at MU, which i consider the king of such techniques. it takes hours upon hours to break out the actual operating numbers, and i think WSTL will do this as well.
yes, they do have to show a line in the report which says earnings excluding one time gains, but....no one cares. once they hear the number on CNBC, they start buying or selling.
as long as they show some sort of gain in operational efficiencies, however minor, the street will overlook operating results. just watch it happen, and you can complain all you want. this kind of thing is very typical of wall st. they simply do not care how you beat, just that you beat their estimates.
as for results, then put me on record as predicting that they will do better than expectations.
