The biggest issue with blockchain is the amount of energy it takes to run. here we are trying to cut down on the use of power, installing LED lights, banning incandescent bulbs, going to more efficient appliances and upping the fuel mileage in vehicles and taxing carbon AND up comes blockchain which by its very design could end up using more power and generating more carbon than what was saved by implementing the earlier energy saving steps. There comes a point with a Bitcoin miner that it will burn more energy than what it will earn generating a Bitcoin. Plain silly. Both your articles are timely. Ral F phieeeee merry christmas
