At this point it is interesting (and depressing) to look at the last
six months. Approximately 6 months ago, many stocks reached their
1997 highs. Shown below is a comparison of the prices then, and the
prices now. Obviously, the ones who were selling then and keeping
their money were doing the right thing.

Again, speaking of averages, the average loss is -54 percent. To get
back even, a gain in the average of 127 percent is required. FSII
with a loss of 50 percent needs a 100 percent gain to get back.
