The one true talent bitter and resentful Donald Trump possesses is he's the Pied Piper for other bitter and resentful people, calling them out of the sewers like hordes of rats with his flute-like spiel of imagined slights. Many of Trump's followers each have their own unique reasons for feeling bitter and resentful, but it's the feeling that they have in common with him, not the causes. Like Donald they feel some shadowy group of people or specific people or groups have been ruining their life and they want to strike back. They resonate with Donald's anger and bitterness. Was their anger assuaged when Donald gave large income tax breaks to banks, lenders and major corporations and the wealthiest Americans? It certainly made Donald feel better for some reason. As Donald Trump continues to act out in public and try to implement policies which he imagines will address his anger, there's very little reason to expect the results will reduce his own bitterness and anger or the bitterness and anger of any of his supporters.
