You have the meaning of democracy mixed up with the meaning of equality. You think your “democracy” entitles you to equal amounts of loot for you and your fellow dems. Confiscatory taxes would not balance the budget because you dems would just blow the money trying to solve imaginary global warming making fat Al Gore even richer. No amount of money is safe in the hands of an inspired socialist bureaucrat.
