President Trump dissolved his controversial voter integrity commission Wednesday, giving up on one of key initiatives from after the 2016 election.

The White House said Mr. Trump didn’t want to fight an endless stream of costly legal battles against voter-rights groups, so he issued an executive order canceling the panel altogether.
