It's clear Trump ran for office to increase his brand name, not win. His wife cried when she found out he won. She stayed away from Washington after the election so it seems highly reasonable to assume the entire campaign was a way to increase his brand, not govern. His voters fell for it. Just like the people who fell for his fake universities. The man knows how to defraud people of their money and their votes.
