Macy's, Inc. (M) - closed out position w/ sale of remaining shares at @ 24.17/share booked 35% gain plus one dividend in less than 90 days. Price hit my GN fair value price Macy's provided an update on store closing (on track per management's announcement) and same store sales slightly positive. Big news this AM was the employee retail jobs fall YoY. Still think brick & mortar retail continues to re-size impacting future EPS. Macy's updates on store closings Macy's (NYSE:M) says it closed another 11 stores, including 4 stores previously disclosed. The latest round of closures brings the company's tally to 81 out of 100 planned closings. Macy's says that it intends to close approximately 19 additional stores as leases or operating covenants expire or sale transactions are completed. Previously: Macy's lower after holiday sales update (Jan. 4) ------------------------------------- I may revisit this again if it sells below $20/share again. I had 3 different Buys in the $17.5-$19.50 range. GN fair value has fallen too. I think this goes lower especially w/ the end of the Christmas season. EKS
