<Each time I see M. Murphy's name associated in a positive way with XOMA I get scared....(MM says:) On December 19th we sold our S&P puts and went slight margin in both Model Portfolios.>

I think XOMA is a good stock, I bought it on Michael Murphy's newsletter recommendation. However, that said, having followed his recommendations, (on paper, thank God not for the most part with my money) I have to say he seems mostly all wet. Going on margin at this time with the Asian situation, what was he thinking? What was he thinking?

9 months ago he was saying that the market was terribly overvalued, no new money was to be made, etc., etc. Then he totally reverses himself and goes on margin! Unbelievable!

Pity the poor slobs who followed his advice to buy Informix. Doesn't he do any investigation at all?

It almost makes me want to sell my XOMA stock just because MM is recommending it. To quote Bugs Bunny: What a maroon!
