Well, there is something that I agree with the left on and it is this. When one has wealth and power, it is pretty easy to stack the deck in your favor. I've seen it in action where as a white parent at a private school, I was given deference and respect when trying to get something for my child versus when a black child was in trouble, he was assumed guilty and the parents were assumed to be hostile in the defense of their child. It's the micro-inequities that are out there that are hard to solve. The liberals believe the government should step in to equalize those things. I don't think that is the answer. I think this is where culture and religion are far more effective. I was taught that the golden rule should hold supreme and the golden rule is color blind. Jesus didn't say love one another, except if he's black. He just said, "love one another". I try to live that way. No government institution taught me that. My Catholic priest in childhood taught me that.

Liberals go wrong when they try to legislate every aspect of culture. They don't understand that this path leads to tyranny. Cultural issues are best solved through cultural institutions such as religion, not by laws.
