Actually Woody, that is a good point. I was looking closely at the stitching in that hat and it looks to me like hand crochet.

I have done crochet my whole life and am pretty sure that hat is not machine made. Real crochet cannot be done by machine - knitting can be. It's not knitted.

So somebody had to sit down and make that hat - it would take several hours.
