S3 Buying Rendition or NVidia? On a speculative tangent, S3 could consider buying Rendition or NVidia. Both are privately held fabless companies, and have reasonable 2D/3D accelerating chipsets - Rendition's Verite 2x00 and NVidia's RIVA 128. Although both are preparing to go IPO eventually, they should be cheaper to acquire than any other publicly traded competitors. What do you guys think?
