My adds today to possible(?) value stocks: BGVF. This sporting goods retailer reported a very poor quarter and lowered 2018 outlook. So of course stock is down quite a bit. Inflection point time for me -- either sell and take losses or add to position. I added a few shares in hope that an eventual business and stock improvement might mitigate some of my losses. Stock at low p/tangible bv, but maybe BGVF has not taken all the write-downs it may have to in future. finance.yahoo.com ALLY. I continue to average up. Scary to add at 12-mo highs here. Otoh, stock has now just risen to tangible bv (per ADVN) and sells at an okay (in my view) p/e multiple. FCAU. Stock at 12-mo high, but still at a relatively low p/e. ============= I like some of the energy MLP's. I've not done well with AMZA though; I've reduced position and taken losses. I'll try elsewhere with a move into CEF Nuveen Energy MLP Total Return Fund, JMF: nuveen.com
