Dave,

From your gloom & doom post, you make it sound as it AMAT is not going to be making any $$ because of the pushout of 300mm to 2000 and beyond. 300mm was not supposed to be a large part of AMAT's revs this year anyway. Going into '99 there were greater expectations for it and I believe this is part of the reason AMAT is currently getting trounced.

BTW, AMAT was mention by one of the WSW panelist as being a stock overly sold. And Abby Joeph Cohen (one of the few people I actually respect on WS) was bullish on the entire tech sector. This only leads me to believe that she is VERY bullish on the equpment sector since they have taken the brunt of the asian worry, much of it to prove unwarranted.
