So when the Islamic practitioners of Sharia Law demand the honor killing or mutilation or revenge rape of a girl who goes on an unsanctioned and unshaparoned date with a boy, wouldn't you say that is a direct violation of the laws in this country? What about female genital mutilation? Or beheadings for some crimes? Or cutting the hands off a thief? All of those things would be consider "cruel and unusual" punishments in our system of law, and in fact, if any Muslim tried to implement those punishments as per their Sharia Law in this country, they would be considered criminals in this country.

There are some ideas that are simply not worth considering. Sharia Law is simply not compatible with modern, Western Culture, Values, and Laws. We need to be very careful who we let into this country. Not all immigrants are going to take this country in the direction we all want it to go. As I've said before, Freedom isn't Free and our Freedoms, especially those with respect to women and minorities in this country have been hard fought to win. We don't want to backslide with the archaic, barbaric belief systems of a religion that has failed to modernize such as Islam and their Sharia Law.

It is ok to say we have evolved and our culture is superior to theirs at this point in time....at least until Islam changes and modernizes and stops attracting so many nutcases who want to go back to the times of 750A.D.
