Yes, precisely my point. That is why we need a smarter government that is not anti-business. Obama was anti-business in many ways, including putting regulatory shackles on our businesses, trying to tie their hands with things like the TPP, and giving away the farm in trade deals to other countries. Trump is doing much better on that score. Already, he has begun the process of unleashing animals spirits. Trump's idea of doing bilateral trade deals and striking the best deal for the US is exactly the right course. Decentralized deal making is always more productive and beneficial that one size fits all deals. For anyone who remembers economics, that's called marginal pricing, which enables maximization of revenues. Pursuing bilateral trade deals enables marginal deal making, which maximized the benefits for Americans. We should feel no guilt in doing that and should pursue that whole heartedly. The President works for Americans, not for every other country first.
