closing down polluting businesses is for the greater good, and
the closed down businesses would scatter to the winds and resultant capabilities / capacities / wherewithal would give rise to new and non-polluting businesses that would be for the greater good, and thus all net net positive for everyone around

else i do not see how civilisation can progress if we hold on to what had been, for example, say carbon-energy intensive stuff

unemployment is another imperative and appears to have working solutions, with net net growth of middle class now extending to the countryside by efficacy of land reform

but, you are can hold to your opinions and i mine, and i with my deliberated optimism
