When a single billionaire told Bannon he had to go, he had to go. It wasn't his website. It was the website of one woman who used Bannon to spread hate. Bannon did what he was told to do and made money doing it.

Facts are not important to these billionaires and they have this absolute power in government because SCOUTS destroyed our democracy with Citizens United.

In other countries when a reporter is caught lying they have to go before a board of reporters, media experts, and ordinary citizens and explain their case. If they did nothing wrong no one learns of the investigation. If they rule he lied he MUST formally apologize to the public usually in writing and on TV.

The US needs some sort of mechanism to stop journalists from lying. Maybe then they could demand honesty from politicians. Needless to say this isn't about ordinary mistakes that happen during a fast-moving news event (but it could and maybe should). Speed before accuracy shouldn't be the rule.
