Trufflette:

Concerning BK. Bill is one of the nicest guys on SI. His predictions are off on occasion, but probably as good or better than others I have been following. I am also reading Donald Sew. It is helpful to keep things in perspective to read both sides. Threads tend to get slanted one way or the other.

Back to Bill. I plan to learn more TA and Bill has been helpful to show me how he is doing his. Time and my employment are slowing me down. I finished the one book and now have to get the other done.

I have little technical basis for stating the following, but from the way I look at the way of the world, it seems inevitable that we will be affected by Asia, and if it gets really nasty, then we will feel it more. The Japanese culture historically speaking retains many of its traditional vestages which spill over into its economic thinking. The question is whether the Western system is able to put enough pressure on Japan to get it to stimulate its economy in time. In any event, my time horizon is focusing on next week, which is considerably shorter.

I am already short AOL. I am thinking seriously of shorting MOT for the short term. I would appreciate it if you could shed some technical analysis on this company, as I know you have watched it in the past.

I am also going to short Dell Monday. I am not sure exactly when. Any advice here? I think the Asian market will be mixed and that will help Monday. But the market could still go down.

Finally, I am thinking about shorting AMD, but am uncertain about two things. One, whether Intel's earnings will swamp its earnings report - and I suspect Intel to make its numbers or better. Second, I do not know whether there is a whole lot of downside left to AMD. What do you think?

Hope you are well.

Clinton

P.S. Nice picture.
