Craig Stevenson, SDRC makes a computer aided design/modeling program called I-DEAS. I-DEAS has become very popular at Ford because of its ability to do both design and simulations. I-DEAS is becoming very popular in the auto industry obviously for its power and potential for the suto companies. Many people are using it for crash studies, vibration analysis etc. It is a similar product to CATIA and its understandable that Nissan would be implementing it.
