Larrie: Your right about the 60% temp for freezing the weenies in the west. I remember spending 30 days in the Mojave Desert with the temps being in the 110+ range daily. If you fell asleep in the evening and didn't cover up, you could easily freeze to death when it dropped below 60' at night.
