Meanwhile, Dolby Laboratories (DLB) received a stock downgrade following CES. B. Riley FBR analyst Eric Wold lowered his rating on Dolby to neutral from buy and cut his price target to 63 from 65.50.

After a recent run in Dolby's stock price, "the onus is now on management to prove the company can monetize" its Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos video and audio technologies, Wold said in a report Tuesday.

The increase in industry support for HDR10+ as an alternative to Dolby Vision creates some uncertainty for Dolby's offering, he said.

Dolby shares were down 2%, near 64, in midday trading on Tuesday.
