Turkey NATO USA Kurds plus Syria Russia Iran Saudi Arabia in general shoot 'em up isn't really a contradiction. If Kurds Turkey NATO/USA shoot at each other as provoked by USA there is a beneficiary of the apparent contradiction. The USA equipment suppliers enjoy improved sales. If everyone is harmonious and conducts boring trade it's unprofitable for those who sell shoot em up equipment. Live fire exercises are good to keep troops tuned up and equipment development tested and paid for. It seems odd to have jihad Turkey INSIDE NATO. But when the USSR was the main enemy it made more sense. Now that the so-called "free" world is more socialist than the old commie countries it's silly. Mqurice
