This, of course, is a key tactic of Alinsky via ridicule. Alinsky found it to be difficult to defend.

The truth, of course, is that people of character are unaffected by it. Persons who have well-formulated understandings and backbones don't respond to these tactics. So, you end up converting the weak and uninformed. They vote sometimes, and that is a danger. But overall, it is probably better to get the stronger, more intelligent individuals on your side.

Trump does use it, however. And it is what you guys complain about. It is funny -- you can dish it out but you sure cannot take it.
