Knock wood, I haven't had an image created by any utility fail to restore yet, . . .

I must learn to knock my wood harder because I have.

I was making incremental images. Using them looked like a great way of using less media for storage. Unfortunately, one of the "updates" corrupted my image totally, destroying not only the latest incremental backup, but all the previous ones it contained as well.

Since then, (for over a decade now,) I've created my image files individually and as yet, never had any problems with any of them when it came time to rescue my system(s.)
