John, yes TXT is off about 15% from its recents highs. I too have TXT as a long term "buy and forget" stock, and I have been fortunate to own it for about four years.

I am a pilot as well, and will be buying a Cessna 182RG as soon as the new engine from Mattitick is done. (Waiting for pistons from Lycoming, can you do anything about it?-g-)

I only have a few hours in the Skylane, but look forward to getting much more, as I plan to get my instrument currency back in the 182. What do you fly?

Regarding TXT, I really like the management and the recent automotive related acquisitions. I like the dividend also. The stock has doubled in the last two years, and it was up about 26% in 1997.

I think the worry you indicated is permeating throughout the entire market right know. But like I said, TXT is basically a buy and forget stock for me, with some trading, as I like to add to my positions on the dips. Mid 50's I'll add. Later in the year, high 50's might be an entry.

Good Trading, and if you have any experience in a 182RG please pass along any insights. LF
