Pearson airport has new arrangement when coming back into the country. Step up to a kiosk, punch in answers to various questions on screen,, shove in your passport for scanning, then look at the camera for up and down automatic adjustment for picture taking for verification with scanned photo on passport.
Then the green check mark comes beside photo for match,, then you get pictured printout of yourself that is presented to the next questioner along the way ,,the one with the shiny table. After that guy you go down the hall to the next guy sitting in the hall, and he wants to see the printout and he grunts his approval . Surely I am done with this scrap of paper at a bathroom break along the way and pitch it.. not a good idea because another hallway grunter, appears and wants to see it ... oh you pitched it,, well turn right and go down that hallway,, instead of left to freedommaybe,, I assume . At the end of the gauntlet there are more questioners,with shiny tables, more Q and A and thorough inspection of passports and computer scrutiny of same we are released for final march 3 miles to the other side of the airport. Ahh the fun of it all! |
