Dogs 'R' Us: The 2018 NFC Championship ...

With all the injuries they had to overcome -- most notably quarterback Carson Wentz, running back Darren Sproles, Future hall of famer and perennial all pro left tackle Jason Peters, standout linebacker Jordan Hicks and special teams ace Chris Maragos -- the Eagles embraced the underdog role yet again.

The Eagles advanced to Super Bowl LII by beating the Vikings 38-7 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Minnesota Vikings scored a TD on their 1st possession but never scored again. The Philadelphia Eagles scored the next 38 points.

Philadelphia's runaway started when Patrick Robinson returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown as the Eagles tied the game with 6:26 left in the first quarter. Playing in Carson Wentz's place, Nick Foles completed 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards with three touchdowns, no interceptions and a 141.9 passer rating. His first TD pass on Sunday was a 53-yarder to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery as Philadelphia took a 21-7 lead with 1:09 left in the first half.

For the first time in 13 years, the Eagles will be competing in the Super Bowl. It will be the same opponent that beat them 24-21 in 2005: the New England Patriots and once again the Eagles will be underdogs. The Eagles will play the Patriots for the NFL championship at 5:30 p.m. CST Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Patriots defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20 to win the AFC championship on Sunday afternoon.
