dmf, there was also an article in TheStreet.com on 1/7 about news affecting stock up/downs. The article centered around CSCO and the Asian news (on-going), vs. the 'new' news.... strong European footings... and who (at the conference) would be surprized by which news (based on what they previously new about CSCO or not). Bottom line is that CSCO has been making some public statements that they are having strong effects in Europe (whether this is making up for any weakness in Asian... not quite sure how it washes). Earnings report will probably tell all. L. Wolf
