I agree that the DC210 is by far the best, but very expensive.

I've seen a problem in the marketplace in that users find the downloads from SanDisk style cards to be EXTREMELY slow. People really like those cameras with the big-ass floppy disks plugged into them. The downloads are nearly instantaneous. I wonder what the saleman says at the counter when someone asks about download speed. The floppy disk cameras are selling VERY well. I am a tiny bit concerned.

I agree that the SmartMedia might be the biggest competitor. It's very unlikely that I will be able to find time to do the research. It would take about a week of my time to do it right. First I'd have to figure out everything concerning Smartmedia then compare it to Sandisk's 45 patents (45?), without knowing anything about their pending applications.

If anything pops up where we look at that in normal business, I'll let you know what I can. Right now, I'm up to my ears working on ATM switching patents, a technology that's tough to follow.

Do you have details of Smartmedia in some concise package of paper?
