Damnit. I knew someone would ask me that. I'm drawing a blank. I should have said, there used to be decent Dems in power. I liked Lieberman, for example. I liked John Kerry for a time. Bob Conley was another. I bet you didn't know Bob supported Ron Paul, whom I think is more spot on and educated on economics and monetary policy than anyone in power today. I also like Andrew Jackson, who was a President long ago who vetoed the creation of a central bank back in his day. He was right in believing central banks were corrupt in their very nature and that they would be terrible for the American people, but great for the moneyed class.

So that's a few for you. Truth is I'm finding it hard to find Dems in power that I like today, because many have become ultra-liberal in their views and have adopted identity politics and snowflake attitudes. These things area a big turn off for me. Keep in mind, I'm none to happy with the GOP either. I'm mostly a centrist and am registered Unaffiliated/Independent. I'm conservative on economic and monetary issues and can be liberal on social issues. I'm a Capitalist and hate any form of collectivism, simply because it doesn't work, as history has taught us.

I'm most principally a pragmatist and non-ideological. When I see wide-eyed noobs worshipping at the shrine of a party or the cult of a personality, I get turned off almost instantly. Partisan hackery is destroying this country, in my opinion, and I will not participate in that. I call it like I see it and do my best to get at the unbiased facts. That's exceedingly hard to do nowadays with our corrupt and consolidated media empires, as you and I have discussed several times.
