He works for the US Treasury which is part of the executive branch of Government. The Fed is not part of the executive branch of government. It is an independent institution. "As for IMF policies, Fact: the IMF is quickly running out of money." The IMF gets its money from the member governments. It can raise more money if needed. The IMF also works with the world bank and gets cooperation from other banks around the world. "I think it is very posible we could see a 1929-1935 type of decline. Yes DELL would be affected by this decline. One of the main reasons I think it is posible is that there are many like yourself that think I am looney to even be thinking this. (read, they think it is imposible for the market to have a protracted decline because things are different now" I have to say that I totally disagree with your fear based assesment. You probably should not be in the stock market at this time. If you are heavily short the market you may end up losing heavily. Be very careful now! Goodluck!
