If Trump knew Flynn lied to the FBI *before* he asked Comey to drop the Flynn investigation, that would be a significant problem for Trump because it would undercut any argument he could make that he thought there was no merit to the Flynn investigation. /end

Of course President Spanky knew. On Dec. 2 of this year, he tweeted that he knew Flynn lied when he fired him.

But having him admit this is one reason Mueller wants to interview Spanky. Spanky would lie if Mueller asks him ... lying is what he does.
