Tom, I think you are right on the $ with this post. MSFT and INTC are in fact entering adjacent industries and wiping them out. I am long INTC but couldn't bring myself to buy the Redmond folks as I foresee them entering a period of Apple and IBM non-responsiveness to their constituencies (read, customers, shareholders, and government). This is always the beginning of the end--pride, greed, and arrogance goeth before a fall.
I think, emphasize think, that the 'new breed' telecom firms like TLAB, QCOM, LU, LOR, GSTRF, are in for a run. Just my two cents. Mike Doyle |
