Did you see the letter the DOJ wrote to Nunes?

Here it is:

theconservativetreehouse.com

Get the irony in a tiny but tidy bit of language? The DOJ thinks it would be 'extraordinarily reckless' if the memo would be released without some sort of review by the intelligence community.

Where have I heard that phrase or its equivalent before?

LOL!

Well, at least it wouldn't be 'grossly negligent.'

Seriously, the amazing thing is that the FBI and the DOJ wants insight into what the Permanent Subcommittee thinks ahead of its release, and cites all kinds of BS, mostly impairment of means and methods used to collect intelligence, to support its position.

But even if the disclosure of means and methods were jeopardized, what's more important, that the intelligence community do its work within legal frameworks or that it hide behind the claim that means and methods would be damaged? I think letting them hide behind the means and methods curtain is never justified when the intelligence community's crimes are involved. Especially when they are attempting to set aside the results of a lawful election.

But means and methods arguments are very handy because they serve as a terrific way to preclude oversight.

The arrogance is stunning. The memo puts the hat on the intelligence community (properly, as far as I can tell), but they want advance warning so that their minions who are about to be interviewed or testify can tailor their testimony.

It's unbelievable how unintelligent the intelligence community is. Only a damfool would let them have the memo.
