The US has socialized medicine. It's called Obamacare. Of course, our consumer health care benefits and outcomes (including life expectancy) have been decreasing relative to cost for a long time before Obamacare was introduced. However, it accelerated after Obamacare began, mostly due to soaring costs exacerbated by the disastrous implementation of Obamacare.

Socialism is killing the cost benefit ratio of healthcare in this country. Time for a different approach.
