Hiram used to be a very popular boy's name. Have many Hiram's in my woodpile, the latest being my great uncle. Seems to have fallen out of favor in the 1930s.

The only Hiram I've known is the former dean of my law school, Hiram Chodosh. Pretty rare name now. I kind of like it, actually.
