quite simple. all that gets reported on CNBC is the actual number and maybe some mention that it includes one time gains. the newswires will all pick up the same info, that including one time gains, the company earned_______. do you understand now? yes, the number does have to be broken out and i do not think i made that clear when i first posted. but....the number is still there. and will wall st. will eat it up.
now, as for the blurb from MUs website, see the above. what they report to the SEC is by the book. what they report on the news isnt always as clear. besides, if memory serves, their reported EPS, at least according to the wires, was much higher than 18 cents. that was around the time that the stock went from @40 to @60. of course kurlak helped out<G>. and when i mentioned the difficulty of trying to figure out how the company really performed, you have to understand that they play accounting tricks with the inventory. several people on the MU thread think the company should be investigated.
you have never given adequete clarifications of any of the issues we have discussed. it is becoming clear that you are prone to use a tactic we learned in debate....the big lie. simply put, you repeat a lie enough times, and loudly, and you will tend to sway others into accepting your 'truth'.
give it up steve. as for your respect, i would rather not have it. it would, for me, be akin to having the respect of hitler. i have tried to be nice but i find that you make it, at the very least, extremely difficult.
