I think we have never tried market solutions to healthcare in the US, which is why our system is failing right now. The more it fails, the more people want a government solution. The more government involvement, the more it fails. We're in a race to the bottom.

The system was market based until the government started their intervention in the 60's. The cost curve ramped big time and the more they try to control it the greater the slope of the ramp. Of course having single payer will rectify all that. Right.
