There are very few governments and companies around the world which do not already have prohibitions against buying tech from Huawei, ZTE and their associated companies. - ft.com

The exploits designed into Chinese tech products manufactured by these companies controlled by the People's Liberation Army are very well documented.

The African Union was very naive in 2012 trusting Chinese tech, but like most of their member nations, they wised-up quickly. Algeria and the World Bank paid to replace the corrupt Chinese tech which China had provided as a "gift" like the Trojan Horse.

If the Chinese government persists in building back-doors into their tech they will completely destroy the reputation of all tech products from China, if they have not already done so.

Of course the Chinese Ambassador, the Chinese Communist Party and the usual suspect Chinese fake news outlets - scmp.com - under the direct-control of President Xi deny or claim not to understand any of this, but there's very few around the world buying their lies.

AT&T and Verizon were set to offer the $800 Huawei Mate 10 Pro as an unremarkable competing product to the line-up from Samsung, Apple and others - but built-in back-doors scotched that. No one is amused. If you value your security you should also avoid products from Huawei and ZTE.
