Dan, I agree that being a "Magic 25" pick is no guarantee of a stock's success. I like Individual Investor magazine as a source of ideas; a starting point. They certainly have a knack for finding volatile stocks, but often include some big losers along with their winners. Still, being a "25" pick assures I.I. magazine coverage for the rest of 1998. As long as EVSNF puts up some good numbers, the stock should follow suit.

My one worry with this company is probably Asia. Although I don't believe EVSNF has a large amount of business there, Asia is a huge textile maker and thus potentially a good market for EVSNF. Some expectation of Asian sales may be built into the earnings forecast, yet these will probably not materialize in 1998, given the concerns in that part of the world. Even so, I like the stock - esp. at this price.
