Joan; I see were she went from about 11 to 9 in 87, about 20%
I don't see any 40% or 50% drops. GE is not the same company
she was back then, she has become such a multinationl, and
now controals holdings to vast for me to type, she don't
just make light bulbs thats for sure, She got the same name
but thats about it. She's more like a holding
company now than anything else. One of the biggest in the
world. If not the biggest. I can picture her in the high
50s or low 60s, below that I don't want to think about,
it would be rougher than you can imagine. What's happening
in Asia would be like a fly on the wall. Just tell me the
IMF would bail us out. Heck GE is bigger than the IMF,
and could put thoes boy in an empty pocket. I'll put it this
way she is bigger than Exon and Royal Dutch put together.
And I know how much clout thoes two have first hand.
They can often run Nations, and put who they want in office, heaven
only knows how much clout GE now has, more than meets the eye
you can bet on that, GE likly pulls the strings on more
stuff than you and I could count. What scares me about her
is the huge dept she carries, but heck that seems to be
the name of the game now days.
For sure this is not the same world it was even 10 years ago,
not even close, and GE is not the same company.
Jim
