*AV*--Let me be the first to say that the Broncos/Packers Super Bowl will find Scott and I on the opposite sides of the goal posts. Unfortunately the last meeting between these two resulted in a 30+ point lopsided victory for the Pack back in 1996.

I think the only thing in my favor is that it is rare for a team to do back to back Super Bowls (Yeah I know the Packers did it in #1/#2 and maybe one or two others). The Broncos have the Karma on their side. First you have the Elway sympathy factor that may psychokinetically meld the minds of many fans to create a phenomenon. Second, no one really want the Broncos to have the record for most appearances with still no wins. Third, Dam Marino is probably doing something behind the scenes to help the "old" man. And lastly, the Broncos fans have yet again caught Broncomania in the most dramatic manic/depressive fashion.

But who's kidding who? All I want is a good game. One in which the AFC is not humiliated. Unfortunately, Denver does have some impressively pathetic and humiliating losses in that regard. As for me, I have taken the 4 brand new Bronco SuperBowl Tee Shirts out of the cedar closet and am preparing to sacrifice them to the fireplace gods in order to break the jinx. I have sent away to Hong Kong for my official sacrificial chicken. I will also place my 5th bet AGAINST the Broncos in as many Super Bowls.

It's a great pessimistic mindset. If they lose, I drown my sorrows in the money I win and really expected them to lose anyway, so there is no real let down. IF by some freak of nature they indeed win, I will be so elated I won't care about losing the bet. I will be able to add a Super Bowl Championship tee shirt to the collection of pathetic Bronco Super Bowl shirts. Of course they will have been burned by then.<GGG>

Andrew

BTW-what is it now, 15 years since the AFC had won the Superbowl? OF course if the AFC does win, doesn't that mean we will have a BEAR market???
