It's safe to say the system we had was very corrupt. It allowed insurance companies to deny coverage to the sick and drop coverage after a person got sick. We know this and we know the ACA fixed those two problems (and so many more).

What has the gop done to lower health care costs? Nothing. This is why the US is ranked 43 by the CIA when it comes to life expectancy.
