In college logic (including decision theory) , statistics and philosophical history e.g. the ancient Greeks, taught me the most I think.

Logic teaches a person how to think logically :). Statistics teaches a person to understand probability. Something scientists say we are NOT hard wired for. We are hard wired for pattern recognition. History taught me context. The importance of the written word and how cruel humans were until just recently.

Humans background venal animal instincts.
