I am surprised that no onw has stressed the inability of responding to events that occur overnight (eg, in Asia or Europe) and have substantial influence on individual stocks. If you are a more target oriented trader, it may be OK to hold overnight, or even for a few days. If you are responding to ticks and flows in real time, how can you use your skills to respond to changing perceptions at 4am? TheGonch
