Mindmeld,
Obamacare has a couple good things in it, but it didn't solve any root causes. The GOP has done nothing for a very long time to improve our health care, but the Dems tried and misfired spectacularly. They sacrificed the 90% to make the lives of the 10% better. That is not a solution.
The cost of ObamaCare to the federal government just went up from $32.8B in 2016 to $42.6B in 2017, which is a 28% increase:

Obamacare’s Subsidies to Cost Taxpayers an Extra $10 Billion in 2017

This increase is happening despite lower enrollment. It's all due to premium increases. You know, the increases that shouldn't have happened because Obama gave his usual platitudes toward cost-reduction.

The trick with ObamaCare is that it can't be repealed. The Republicans tried several times last year to no avail. This is because there are millions of people who now have health insurance thanks to ObamaCare. Repealing it will potentially leave millions of people up shits creek.

In short, Obama succeeded in turning ObamaCare into the second "third rail of politics."
