Me too. NuclearCrystals and TheChief are both Hilarious.
Both are equally whiny and incompetent as investors, but NC is a mix of whinyness and empty legal threats, and Chief is a mix of whinyness and conspiracy theories.
The Miller Mine was always a battle of hearts and minds, and CCB made 0 effort to win over hearts and minds.
Even now, they have not made any effort to even communicate with their investors - 1 week after a trading halt that's based on the project's indefinite postponement.
Meanwhile, locals - none of whom (besides a few working class shmos looking for strong back and weak mind gigs) obviously were opposed to the mine from inception, regardless of the studies. Even for a bankrupt municipality, an open pit mine is something they never asked for and would prefer to do without. The jobs and tax revenue such a project would have contributed are overstated, and the locals clearly took a position that they'd rather be paupers than prostitutes.
Naturally, with 0 effort on CCB's part to seek local support (besides sending an unlikeable punk geologist to do their dirty work for them), they had no chance in winning the battle for hearts and minds.
So who do NC and TheChief blame? Those who actually fought in said battle. "THEY WERE DECEPTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!"" "THEY'RE IN CAHOOTS WITH THE CPTAQ!" "THEY'RE SPREADING MISINFORMATION AND WILL GO TO JAIL AS A RESULT!"
Sorry, you children. Don't blame the Referee because the team you were cheering for didn't even show up.
"Well in 2015 and 2016 it seemed like they didn't have to show up!"
What kind of a person would call themselves an investor and then be surprised that any of this transpired?
Oh, that's right. Failures and amateurs, who think Quebec is just like any other province instead of the different world that it actually is. CCB is a foreigner, and the QC system doesn't work for foreigners.
I honestly wonder if they've ever been there? They seem to think it's just like any other province and jurisdiction. Truly a Don Cherry-quality understanding of this country. |
