what has happened to me over the years is nothing new. You'll like me again when the Democrats have a superior person to elect. Just because I voted for Obama 9 years ago doesn't mean I'm a Democrat. I've been an Unaffiliated/Independent for a very long time now. I vote for whom I think is the right person at the right time. Unfortunately, Hillary was repellant to me.
Being unaffiliated gives me some very interesting perspective, because I don't adhere to ideologies. I just go where the facts and the most persuasive arguments lead me. What I've noticed is that back when you and I were proud to have voted for Obama in his first term, when he had that spectacular win first against Hillary and then over McCain, is that the GOP went nuts. They refused to believe he was born in the US. They called him a Muslim, a Communist, impuned his intellgence, disrespected him at every turn, and so on. It got so bad in the beginning that we all had a name for it: Obama Derangement Syndrome. The GOP had become unhinged in their hatred of Obama.
The same thing is happening now to Trump, except this time it is the left that has become unhinged. Trump is pretty undignified and has a tendency to engage in verbal diarrhea. However, he is most probably not guilty of the charges of Russian collusion and he is not the evil monster that the liberal left paints him to be. In fact, he's already made great strides in unlocking the animal spirits of our markets and companies, which will drive prosperity again in this country. That more than anything will lift all boats. I agreed with Obama on climate change, but Obama was not a very good manager of our economy. He had way too much of Socialist tendencies.
The other thing that I think the left completely ignores is the absolute corruption of Hillary and Bill. They were so corrupt that they dragged the DOJ and the FBI into exonerating her of very obvious felonies and paid for a fake dossier from former Russian KGB agents in an attempt at manipulating a Presidential election in her favor. That is the true Russian collusion story. The evidence is so overwhelming that most Americans are already against Hillary and many are turning against the FBI and the DOJ. You are on the wrong side of history on this one.
So the true question is not what has happened to me over the years, but rather, why are you and other liberals so blinded by seriously flawed Democrats like Hillary? I understand zeal to defend your leaders, but this is going to far. You don't have to like Trump, but as an American, you should respect the outcome of the election and let the man do his job, without engaging in support of a soft coup attempt, which destroys the foundations of our Democracy. Remember, the actions you all take now, will be used against you in the future, when the tables are turned. That is what everyone seems to be forgetting. Karma is a marvelous bitch, who never forgets a transgression. |
