The US President has no power to fire "civil service" government employees. Congress gave US government employees this protection specifically to protect them from politicians trying to exert political pressure on them "to walk the line".

There's a lot of the real world about which Trump supporters are completely ignorant. That's sad and causes others to roll their eyes but not every US voter knows much about the world around them.

This is far more understandable on this message board because most of the participants here are not US citizens and fewer still live in the United States, so there's no particular reason most here should know US laws in any detail or how the US government works in much detail either.
